Medical Grade
Reverse-Osmosis Plant
The greatest need at the moment is for a medical RO plant in Padaviya. Currently four hospitals in and around this area have medical RO plants which are not functioning. All Chronic Kidney Disease patients in the East currently travel to Anuradhapura for treatment and there are no plans for a new RO plant to be commissioned in the near future.

A donation of Rs 2.3 million was made by the District Grand Lodge of Sri Lanka (Rs. 1,500,000) and the Kiwanis Club of Colombo City (Rs. 800,000) towards the social responsibility fund of the Sri Lanka Navy with a view to set up the required RO Plant. The donation was received by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva.

Blood Donation Drive
An annual blood donation drive has been successfully carried out over the last 6 years under the guidance and commitment of the the late W.Bro. Dr. Suresh Britto. Even though there has been a delay due to the pandemic situation in the country, the District Board of Benevolence intends to continue this project with a 7th blood donation drive planned for 2022.
The project is open to all Freemasons, including those from sister constitutions and well-wishers.
